Associate Membership

Become part of the knowledge and expertise network within the Belgian freight forwarding and logistics sector.

Why become an associate member?

The members of FORWARD Belgium are freight forwarders, transport agents, customs agents and logistics service providers.

If your company or organisation does not carry out any of these activities, but is aligned with the work of FORWARD Belgium and/or its members, you can join as an associate member.

Associate membership offers the following benefits:

  • Build a valuable network and make new contacts during the various networking and knowledge-sharing events organised by FORWARD Belgium and Young FORWARD Belgium.
  • Increase your visibility via the FORWARD Belgium membership directory, which lists associate members along with their company details.
  • Enjoy additional online visibility thanks to a listing of your company on the FORWARD Belgium website, including company details and areas of specialisation.
  • Use the FORWARD Belgium logo with the wording ‘Associate member of FORWARD Belgium’ in your communications.
  • Employees aged 40 and under gain access to Young FORWARD Belgium and can take part in activities for young professionals in the logistics sector.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the sector via our monthly newsletter, e-flashes, the Young FORWARD Belgium newsletter, the Alfaport Voka Customs Newsletter and the CLECAT Newsletter.
  • New associate members are announced in the next FORWARD Belgium newsletter, including company details, company logo and a link to their website.
  • Use FORWARD Belgium’s LinkedIn channel to further highlight your membership.
  • Take part in FORWARD Belgium’s committee meetings (maximum of two participants per associate member). Further information about the committees can be found on the FORWARD Belgium website. The dates of the committee meetings can also be found on our website.
  • Suggest topics yourself that can be placed on the agenda of committee meetings and help shape sectoral discussions.
  • Submit substantive content up to twice a year for the associate members’ newsletter, which is distributed to all members of FORWARD Belgium. These contributions may, for example, relate to new developments, innovative solutions, market trends, regulations or best practices. Purely commercial messages are not eligible.
  • Organise information sessions, webinars or events for FORWARD Belgium members, provided that these are relevant to the sector in terms of content and are not of a commercial nature.
  • Have your own events included in the FORWARD Belgium calendar, which is published in the monthly newsletter and on the website.

Associate membership fee

The membership fee for associate members consists of
an annual fee of € 775.  
(exempt from VAT pursuant to Article 44 of the Belgian VAT Code (WBTW))


How to become an associate member?

You can submit your application for associate membership using the application form, which you can download here.

Upon receipt, your application will be assessed internally and submitted for approval.

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an invoice for the membership fee. Associate membership will commence as soon as payment has been received.
