FORWARD Belgium always acts in the public interest and does not intervene in commercial discussions between individual companies. It may, however, assist and support its members by providing advice and formulating positions.
Decisions by individual companies that have an impact on the wider freight forwarding sector may be discussed within the governing body, where a (sector) position may be determined. FORWARD Belgium may raise such matters of general interest through the other sector federations but does not itself take action against individual companies.
FORWARD Belgium may initiate legal proceedings at the association’s expense, whether as claimant or defendant, either through arbitration or court proceedings, insofar as the disputes are of general interest to the members. This will preferably be done in conjunction with a number of members in order to demonstrate the legal interest.
